The quality of your friends and associations determines what you see as possible or not.
I joined my church bible study group and I can finally read a set of chapters a day...how?
Each time we study, we share what we've studied for others to see as both accountability and encouragement to others.
Surround yourself with people that have high standards. They're more real with you and won't tolerate your small thinking and excuses.
Radically opposite thinking
Education gives you so much opportunities vs College is overrated.
One is popular and accepted.
The other unpopular and looked down on.
I started with the former and really wanted to make my mama proud.
As far as giving over 6 years of my life to a course. Then I thought of who and why I'm doing all this.
So I've leaned more to the latter and built a business.
We’ve hit close to 100k customers on our e-commerce at the moment on a span of 3 years.
But then with experience you discover not everyone could start a business.
Only few could grow a business and stay at it.
Just like school, most people would prefer to do what's necessary for a paycheck that grows on merit for someone taking the most risk and for as long as they could.
And that’s okay.
The key motivation for this line of thought is minimizing risk and maximizing time the most.
No matter how many courses or action you take, you could spend years and build nothing or something that goes no where. That's the fear.
The right actions makes the difference
But do you know something we've seen through experience, no way could you study the right tools and have the right mentors and take the right action yet not make no progress.
In short the progress you'd notice would no more grow linearly as college would sell you, it grows exponentially.
The best part of it is that the growth includes failures and pain.
Rock bottom failure would teach you lessons the mountain tops never could.
What I’ll tell my kids: Focus can take you far!
Laser focus is how success is made. When you're in college or pursuing any degree, don't bother yourself with thoughts like whether degrees are now a waste of time or not.
You want to come out with the best grade you could strive for.
While if you give it a shot and you see how the system is not really for you.
Build something on the side until you're sure on what action to take.
Complaining is the worst and least effective strategy.
Put your mind in whatever you set to do and in a few years ...you'd be GLAD at the result.
